Identifikasi Mikroplastik Pada Air PDAM Yang Dikonsumsi Oleh Masyarakat Di Kelurahan Pampang Kota Makassar
AI summary Read the abstract
Researchers identified microplastic contamination in tap water supplied to residents of Pampang Village in Makassar, Indonesia, detecting an average abundance of 9.167 particles per liter with blue line-shaped microplastics predominating, and recommending that residents use filtration systems and maintain clean storage containers.

Researchers tested several local brands of bottled water sold in Makassar, Indonesia, and found tiny plastic fibers—mostly blue and black, and smaller than 1 millimeter—in every single sample. While this study didn't measure health effects directly, it adds to growing evidence that even "clean" bottled water may contain microplastics, underscoring the need for better quality monitoring and more research into what these particles might do to our bodies over time.
