Identifikasi Jenis dan Kelimpahan Mikroplastik di Hilir Bengawan Solo

AI summary Read the abstract

This Indonesian study identified and quantified microplastics in the lower reaches of the Bengawan Solo River, the longest river on Java. The research characterized microplastics by type and abundance, contributing to understanding of river-borne plastic pollution in an industrialized and densely populated watershed.

AI summary Read the abstract

Researchers measured microplastic types and abundance along with heavy metal concentrations in the upper section of the Bengawan Solo River in Indonesia, finding both contaminants present across sampling sites. The co-occurrence of microplastics and heavy metals in this nationally important river raises concerns for water quality and aquatic life.

Analisis Kelimpahan Mikroplastik pada Air Sungai Bengawan Solo Wilayah Kelurahan Pucangsawit Kota Surakarta, Jawa Tengah

AI summary Read the abstract

Researchers analyzed water samples from the Bengawan Solo River in Surakarta, Indonesia, and found 199 microplastic particles with an average abundance of 19.9 particles per liter. Fiber-type microplastics were the most common form detected, though fragments, films, pellets, and foam were also observed. The findings confirm that this major river system is contaminated with microplastics, likely from surrounding human activities.
