Kali Surabaya merupakan bagian dari sistem aliran Sungai Brantas Hilir. Kali Surabaya mengalir dari Dam Mlirip Mojokerto sampai Dam Jagir Surabaya dengan panjang total 41 km. Sepanjang Kali Surabaya banyak ditemukan ditemukannya sampah plastik dari limbah rumah tangga karena padatnya pemukiman, adanya limbah industri, aktivitas nelayan, dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode NOAA untuk mikroplastik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan kelimpahan mikroplastik di Kali Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan 9 stasiun dan 3 kali ulangan pada kiri, kanan, dan tengah. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan empat tipe mikroplastik yaitu filamen, fiber, fragmen, film yang didominasi oleh filamen dan warna bening di seluruh stasiun penelitian.
