Detection of microplastics in soil and sediment

Original title: Detection of microplastics in soil and sediment

AI summary Read the abstract

This Croatian-language article reviews methods for detecting microplastics in soil and sediment environments, summarizing the challenges of identifying these small particles given their wide size range and diverse compositions. It highlights how the ubiquity of microplastics in terrestrial and freshwater systems has driven development of improved detection protocols.

Study Type Environmental

Detekcija mikroplastike podrazumijeva i dobivanje kemijskog sastava prikupljenih polimernih čestica instrumentalnim metodama Ramanove spektroskopije (RS) te Furierove transformirajuće infracrvene spektroskopije (FTIR).
