IDENTIFIKASI JENIS DAN KELIMPAHAN MIKROPLASTIK PADA SALURAN PENCERNAAN IKAN KEMBUNG (Rastrelliger brachysoma) DI TEMPAT PELELANGAN IKAN SELILI KOTA SAMARINDA, KALIMANTAN TIMUR

AI summary Read the abstract

Researchers identified and quantified microplastics in the digestive tracts of short mackerel (Rastrelliger brachysoma) from a fish market in Samarinda, East Borneo, finding 159 total particles dominated by fiber (106 particles, 5.3 per individual), with a weak but significant positive relationship between fish body length and microplastic abundance.

Researchers identified microplastics in the digestive tracts of 10 barracuda (Sphyraena jello) from Pangempang waters in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, using KOH and H2O2 digestion. They found 100 fiber particles and 41 film particles, with no significant correlation between fish body length and microplastic abundance.
