The Effects of Community Characteristics on Solid-Waste Generation and Management in the Village (A Case Study: Kurandak, North Sumatra)

A study in a North Sumatra village used questionnaires and interviews to assess how demographic and socioeconomic factors influence both household waste generation and participation in waste management. Education, income, and knowledge about waste management were significant predictors of both waste volume and responsible disposal behavior.
