Two methods for the preparation of PE nanoplastics , which included the processes of blending and intercalation, are introduced. The reseach advances of PE nanoplastics are also described. The mechanical, frictional, electrical and magnetic properties of PE nanocomposite are introduced systematically. It is indicated that the research works and application of PE nanoplastics are still in the initial periods and there are many theoretical and practical problems to be studied in the future. However, as an new important kind of materials, prospects of PE nanoplastics is quite good and broad.
