Abstrak Pendidikan karakter dipercaya mampu menjadi penyelesaian berbagai masalah yang ada di masyarakat. Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) merupakan rumusan pendidikan karakter terkini di Indonesia di mana peserta didik diharapkan mampu mengembangkan enam profil pelajar Pancasila: (1) Beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan YME, dan berakhlak mulia, (2) Berkebhinekaan global, (3) Bergotong royong, (4) Mandiri, (5) Bernalar kritis, dan (6) Kreatif. Metode pelaksanaan P5 adalah pembelajaran berbasis proyek (project-based learning) di mana siswa diharapkan bisa mendapatkan pengalaman belajar informal melalui struktur belajar yang fleksibel (dibanding pembelajaran formal di dalam kelas), pembelajaran yang interaktif, dan berinteraksi secara langsung dengan lingkungan di sekitarnya untuk memperoleh berbagai kompetensi yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kegiatan P5 yang diadakan mampu menampakkan atau menanamkan keenam profil pelajar Pancasila itu. Metode penelitian dan pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Peserta penelitian ini adalah kedua puluh dua siswa kelas dua SD Srepeng, Semanu, Gunung Kidul yang mengikuti program P5 pengurangan sampah plastik dengan cara mengolah sampah botol plastik menjadi tempat pensil sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama aktivitas para peserta menunjukkan keenam profil pelajar Pancasila yang diharapkan.
