New Identities of Micro- and Nanoplastics Formed from Biological Effects (Bio-MNPs)
Summary
Researchers proposed a new framework for understanding micro- and nanoplastics that are created or transformed through biological processes in living organisms, which they call Bio-MNPs. These biologically modified plastics may have different surface properties, toxicity profiles, and environmental behaviors compared to their original forms.
