Kelimpahan Mikroplastik Pada Sedimen Pantai Wisata di Kabupaten Konawe, Sulawesi Tenggara

AI summary Read the abstract

Researchers analyzed microplastic abundance in beach sediments at tourist beaches in Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia, identifying fiber, fragment, and film types at an average of 2,693 particles per kilogram, with the highest total contamination found at Toronipa Beach.

Kajian Kelimpahan Mikroplastik Pada Sedimen Pantai Kecamatan Sangatta Utara Kabupaten Kutai Timur

AI summary Read the abstract

This study measures the abundance and distribution of microplastics in beach sediment samples, characterizing particle types, sizes, and polymer compositions found at coastal sites. Spatial variation in microplastic load is analyzed in relation to local sources such as tourism, fishing activity, and inland runoff. Results add to regional baseline data on coastal microplastic pollution and inform monitoring and cleanup priorities.

Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Mikroplastik Pada Sedimen Pesisir Pantai Manggar Kota Balikpapan Kalimantan Timur

AI summary Read the abstract

Researchers characterized microplastic types and abundance in coastal sediments at Manggar Beach, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, using NaCl density separation and H2O2/FeSO4 digestion followed by microscopy. Fibers were most abundant (63%), followed by fragments (32%) and films (20%), with significant differences in abundance between particle types.
