Summary
Catalan researchers validated the use of molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) particles — described as nanoplastics in the analytical sense — in biosensors for detecting and quantifying histamine in wine. The MIP-based sensor offers a sensitive method for food safety monitoring, demonstrating a constructive application of nanoparticle engineering.
