This dataset provides raw data from a study quantifying and classifying microplastics at 35 Mexican beaches across the five marine regions of the country. The data includes particle shape, type, color, and cross-contamination analysis across coastal sites.

This file contains the raw data of the sampling of microplastics in Mexicana sand beaches. Microplastics were quantified and classified by shape, type and colour. A total of 35 beaches, from the five marine regions of the country, were included in the research. The dataset also includes the analysis of cross-contamination.
