The Effect of Plastic Pollution on Human Health in Coastal Area: A Comparative Analysis of Bangladesh and India
Summary
This comparative study examined pathways through which plastic pollution affects human health in coastal communities of Bangladesh and India, focusing on populations particularly vulnerable due to proximity to water bodies and reliance on marine resources. The paper reviews policy responses and waste management practices while identifying the urgent need for improved waste infrastructure and community-level interventions to reduce health risks from plastic-related pollution.
