Summary

A thermomechanical analysis method using the Perkin-Elmer TMA-7 was validated for evaluating deformation heat resistance of epoxy microplastics, showing consistent rankings by both strength and rigidity criteria. This simple yet sensitive characterization method helps engineers select appropriate epoxy formulations for high-temperature structural applications.

Based on the results obtained, the method of estimating the deformation heat resistance of samples of microplastics with the Perkin—Elmer TMA-7 is recommended. The method combines simplicity of sample preparation with high sensitivity. For the epoxy binders studied, the position of the epoxy plastics with respect to the level of heat resistance coincides both based on the criterion of preservation of strength and preservation of rigidity.
