This is a published correction to a prior study on microplastic ingestion by fish, clarifying that reported tissue concentrations of persistent organic pollutants were in ng/g not pg/g — a unit error that does not change the study's conclusions about negligible pollutant transfer via microplastics.

We discovered a typing error in Table 2 (page 1929). The units in the Table 2 should be ng/g instead of pg/g. This error does not affect the results nor the discussion of the article. Also, the median concentrations of Σ14PCBs, Σ10PBDEs, and p,p'-DDE provided for plastic and tissue samples in the text are not exactly in accordance with the median values given in Tables 1 and 2. The data for Σ14PCB, Σ10PBDE, and p,p'-DDE in Tables 1 and 2 are the correct ones.
