Summary

This is a dataset of differential interference contrast microscopy images supporting the Lenz et al. 2021 study on image recognition-based measurement of how chemical treatments affect microplastic particle numbers and morphology. It is a supporting image dataset rather than a primary research article.

The zip file contains two folders with pre- and post-treatment images of the immobilised microplastic particles. The csv file provides the polymer types that were applied to each wafer. The pdf file shows overview of all evaluated images in the same arrangement as in the quantitative heatmap figure in the manuscript. The thumbnails are placed on top of the coloured tiles of the count loss heatmap (non-corrected).
