This is the full dataset from a citizen science study in which German schoolchildren monitored floating macro- and microplastic pollution in rivers, mapping pollution hotspots across multiple river sites. The data accompanying the Kiessling et al. 2021 publication provides site-level measurements of both size categories of floating plastic litter.
