Meso- and microplastic distribution and heavy metal contaminations in floodplains of the Nidda River (Germany)
Summary
This dataset contains raw data from a study of meso- and microplastic distribution and heavy metal contamination in floodplain soils of the Nidda River, Germany. It includes particle characteristics from FTIR analysis, soil chemical and physical properties, pollution indices, and GPS sampling locations.
The datasets stored here contain the raw data for the publication about macro- and microplastic within the Nidda River floodplain soilscape by Weber et al. (2022). These are data sets on meso- and microplastic particles, as well as analytical data from floodplain soil samples and a .kml file with sampling points positions. Dataset 1: Plastic particle data and characteristics from plastic particles extracted via NaCl-separation, fluorescence staining and ATR-FTIR analysis. Dataset 2: Sampling site features, plastic concentrations, elemental concentrations, pollution indices and soil characteristics (texture, organic matter, pH) Each data set contains a sheet with data and an explanation sheet. KML File: Location of sampling points.
