This Japanese-language paper reviews standardized and emerging methods for measuring microplastics across different environmental matrices including surface water, rivers, sediments, biological tissue, and waste treatment facilities. It discusses progress in harmonizing sampling and analytical protocols, particularly for surface water monitoring, and describes limitations in standardization for non-aquatic matrices. The paper also presents internally developed particle analysis tools and methods for measuring persistent organic pollutants in plastic.
マイクロプラスチックに関する調査・研究はさまざまな機関で実施されつつあるが，その実態の詳細はいまだ明らかとはいえず，調査の拡充が求められる。海洋表層や河川における採取法および測定法については標準化や調和が進んでいるが，堆積物や生物体内に含まれるマイクロプラスチックならびに下水処理場や廃棄物処理施設等から発生するマイクロプラスチックの採取法および測定法については，標準化や調和するには至っていない。 本稿前半では，当社が 2016 年より携わってきた漂流マイクロプラスチックのモニタリング手法調和ガイドラインで示されているマイクロプラスチック測定法に加え，海洋表層以外のフィールド試料を扱う際の留意点についても触れながら紹介する。後半は，現行のマイクロプラスチック測定法の課題に対応すべく自社開発した粒子情報取得ツールならびにプラスチックに含まれる残留性有機汚染物質の分析について紹介する。
