Summary

This engineering paper presents the design of an autonomous vessel capable of collecting both surface oil and microplastics from marine environments. The system integrates magnetic fluid for oil adsorption, a microplastic filtration device, and a motion mechanism, with structural validation performed using SolidWorks 3D modeling and ANSYS finite element analysis. The design aims to automate ocean surface cleanup tasks previously requiring manual labor.

This paper based on the analysis of existing oil removal boats, a new practical, simple and economic oil treatment boat is designed, while using magnetic fluid, adsorption and collection of microplastics, and this solution can replace the manual completion of the sea surface oil cleaning work. The main contents include: design of motion mechanism for collecting oil pollution, microplastic filtering device. The 3D modeling of the hull was established and the motion simulation was carried out by using SolidWorks. Finite element analysis of various load-bearing structures was carried out using ANSYS to verify the rationality of each structure. The control system was designed, and the hardware part was designed with circuitry for the operating system according to the actual needs.
