Oggi nell’epoca del cambiamento climatico, la pubblicazione dell’Enciclica Laudato si’ nel 2015 ha contribuito in modo significativo ad accrescere l’attenzione pubblica verso la questione ecologica. Anche il servizio sanitario deve affrontare la sfida della sostenibilità ecologica negli ospedali, nelle istituzioni della medicina curativa ed anche nei diversi ambiti della medicina preventiva. Questo significa, per esempio, elaborare in ogni campo della sanità pubblica un percorso per contribuire alla sostenibilità ecologica. In questo articolo si esamina una parte del sesto capitolo dell’Enciclica Laudato si’ per identificare punti possibili di connessione fra l’educazione alla salute e l’educazione ambientale. Oltre alle tematiche affini ed alle competenze comuni da sviluppare in questi due campi, l’enciclica può fornire una comprensione più profonda dell’educazione alla salute ed educazione ambientale alla luce della conversione ecologica.
