Gas Phase Reaction of Acetylacetone with NO2 Using UV Light
Summary
Researchers used FT-IR spectroscopy to study the gas-phase photoreaction between acetylacetone and nitrogen dioxide under UV light. This atmospheric chemistry study is relevant to understanding how UV exposure alters organic compounds in the air, including processes that affect the degradation of plastic pollution.
FT-IR instrument is used here to study gas phase photoreaction of Acetylacetone and Nitrogen dioxide in presence of UVB light through FT-IR Sprectroscopy and whether Acetylacetone reacts with Nitrogen dioxide via same or same type of photoreaction in gas phase i.e.in atmospheric circumference in different conditions and presence of different reactants by probing.
