Tyre-wear particles (TWPs) are microplastics generated by the friction of tyres with the ground. They can contain various types of plastics and other contaminants in their composition. The effects on marine fauna ingesting this type of mixture are have not been fully described, so the aim of this research is to evaluate the effects of TWPs ingestion on the growth, reproduction and behaviour of Oryzias melastigma (marine medaka).
