Summary
Scientists developed a new imaging tool that uses light and tiny metal particles to see the actual shape of nanoplastics, plastic particles so small they're invisible to normal microscopes. Knowing the exact shape (not just size) of these particles matters because shape can affect how nanoplastics move through our bodies, interact with cells, and potentially cause harm. This tool could help researchers better understand nanoplastic pollution and its risks to human health going forward.
