Summary

Scientists have developed a new imaging tool called HoloSCAT that can see the actual shape of individual nanoplastic particles, tiny plastic fragments too small to see with regular microscopes. Knowing whether these particles are round, jagged, or irregularly shaped matters because shape can affect how easily plastics get absorbed into our bodies and cause harm.
