The large-scale adoption of starch-based materials as a primary alternative to petroleum-based plastics hinges on cost optimization and breakthroughs in industrialization. With the deepening integration of green chemistry and circular economy, starch-based barrier materials are poised to become a mainstream solution, promoting sustainable, high-performance, and functionally diversified transformation of the packaging industry.
