This paper investigates the degradation mechanism and industrial practicability of automatically degradable plant-based plastic bags. The material is mainly composed of natural plant fibers, starch and biodegradable polymers, which can achieve natural degradation under microbial, temperature and humid environment without manual treatment. The research analyzes the molecular decomposition process, microbial erosion principle and environmental adaptability of plant-based plastic materials. By optimizing material proportioning and molding technology, the product maintains sufficient tensile strength, load-bearing performance and waterproof stability during usage. After being discarded, it can be completely degraded into organic substances within a natural cycle. This technology effectively solves the long-term pollution problem of traditional non-degradable plastics. With low production cost, renewable raw materials and harmless degradation products, plant-based plastic bags are widely applied in supermarket packaging, food transportation and daily logistics scenarios. This study provides a mature industrial production scheme and reliable environmental protection solution for the replacement of disposable plastic products.
