Microplastic Pollution in Coastal and Riverine Environments of Yamaguchi: Quantity and Distribution, Discharge Processes, and Ecological Risk
Original title: 山口の沿岸と河川環境中のマイクロプラスチック汚染 : 量と分布、流出過程、生態リスク
Summary
This PhD thesis addressed knowledge gaps in microplastic pollution by developing new insights into the occurrence and fate of microplastics in marine and freshwater systems near Yamaguchi, Japan, including source-to-sink dynamics and ecological risk assessments. The research provides regionally specific data with global relevance for understanding microplastic transport and biological impact.
